The John Howard Society is rooted in volunteerism. As a non-profit organization, it was established by volunteers in the early 1950s and continues to be managed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Society offers a rich variety of opportunities for citizens to become involved in providing agency services on a volunteer basis.
Volunteering with those who are involved with the law or who are at risk to be can have an incredible impact not just on the client, but on their community, society, and on the volunteer themselves.
